Dr Lim served as a part-time lecturer in the Division of Graduate Dental Studies, Master of Dental Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) at the National University of Singapore. He was also a visiting lecturer for the Master of Science (Biomedical Engineering) program at the Nanyang Technological University. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (Singapore) for many years in various appointments. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Chapter of Dental Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore and served on the Dental Specialty Accreditation Committee.
