Certificate in Basic Dental Assisting


This is the introductory course to Dental assisting. This course will cover from basic communication to handling different dental procedures. In any dental treatment Dental Assistants play a vital role as most of the dental procedures are 4-handed procedures. This 2-day course focus on giving practical knowledge on dentistry which will be useful in clinical work. Eligible student will be offered an employment opportunity with Q & M Dental Group upon completion of course.

The course will cover 6 subjects/modules as follows:

1. Introduction to Dentistry and dental assisting
2. Communication and administrative duties 
3. Sterilization and infection control 
4. Daily dental procedure
5. Radiograph


After each module, students will be assessed on both their theoretical knowledge and practical expertise (where applicable).

Average teacher-student ratio: 1 : 20 (for lecture), 1 : 5 (for clinical supervision)
