The course will cover 9 subjects/modules as follows:


1. CAD CAM & Digital Dentistry

2. Endodontics

3. Implant Dentistry

4. Laser Dentistry

5. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

6. Orthodontics

7. Patient Management & Ethics in Dentistry

8. Periodontics

9. Prosthodontics/Restorative Dentistry


The course delivery includes lectures, hands-on instructions using study models, and treating patients under instructor supervision.

>Average teacher-student ratio: 1:20 (for lecture), 1:2-3 (for clinical supervision)


After each module, students will be assessed on both their theoretical knowledge and practical expertise (where applicable). The assessment is


in the form of:


1. Written Examination

2. Oral Examination

3. Hands-on and clinical supervision


ADMISSION CRITERIA


Course entry requirement(s) Local Students


  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
  • GCE O Level English C6 and above.
  • Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicant is required to meet English language Proficiency requirement.
  • Candidates with minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience will be preferred. However, this is not compulsory.

The orthodontic training program is designed with emphasis on the ability of the dentist to incorporate orthodontics into their daily practice. Participants will learn case selection and how to treatment plan to achieve their treatment goals.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn to identify and incorporate simple Invisalign cases into your practice.
2. Complete the Invisalign Training Programme.
3. Present Invisalign cases and share clinical experience during study groups.

Course Outline:
10 orthodontic modules covering Invisalign Pre-training and Training course, case studies and case presentations.

Synopsis:
Implant training program is an introductory course for general dentists to do simple to advance implant therapy. The course consist of didactic sessions, hands-on training as well as chair-side live surgeries performed by the candidates under the supervision of the trainers.
