After completing his National Service as Dental Officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Dr Phua embarked into private group practice and is a firm advocate that a multi-disciplinary group of dentists is the most effective manner to serve the dental patients.
He served two terms as the President of the College of General Dental Practitioners (Singapore) and is also a Past President of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is also a Fellow and current Regent (Region 25 Singapore) of the International College of Dentists.
